Ace Babysitters

Ace came to us looking for PR-worthy stunts. We delivered the headlines, and drove record-breaking sales in the process.

Parents are busy. Painting a room with a toddler underfoot? Nearly impossible. So we flipped the problem on its head: buy paint from Ace, get a discount on a babysitter through Care.com. A simple idea rooted in real-life tension.

It wasn’t just clever, it was earned creative that struck a chord. The story took off organically, making its way into national press, and even landing a spot on The Tonight Show.

Ace Ice Cream Someday Truck

On National Ice Cream Day, visitors to Millennium Park were treated to free scoops from the Ace Hardware Ice Cream Truck, served in flavors inspired by popular Benjamin Moore paint colors. The pop-up was part of Ace’s national ‘Some Day’ holiday activation.

Beyond the free ice cream, it was a moment designed to be shared. Walkers-by snapped photos, participants posted their cones and color combos, and the activation spread far beyond the park through social feeds, turning a simple stunt into earned creative that kept on giving.

Ace Someday Parade

To help end project procrastination, we turned "someday" into an actual day. Then, we took to social media to spread the message, encouraging people to stop putting off their DIY dreams. One lucky couple finally tackled a long-delayed project on Someday, and we celebrated their victory in style: with a full-blown parade.
