GRAND RENOVATION CANS

When MGM Grand underwent a major renovation, we needed a reveal as bold as the transformation itself. So we launched a teaser campaign built around massive, custom-designed paint cans, each symbolizing the scale of change underway.

Placed in key markets with nothing but a QR code to spark curiosity, the installations quickly caught attention and headlines. Scanning the code led users to a live transformation site and entered them to win a larger-than-life experience at the new MGM Grand.

The campaign not only drove engagement, but it also captured earned media with coverage that matched the scale of the property.

APRIL FOOL’S DAY PRANK

MGM Grand in Las Vegas pulled an April Fool's Day prank involving a fake wedding at their "Forever Grand" chapel. Guests were given invitations upon check-in to participate in the hoax, staging fake weddings with provided props and encouraging them to share the news on social media using a designated hashtag. The aim was to leverage Vegas's reputation for spontaneous weddings and boost social media engagement.

The playful stunt quickly took off online and gained a ton of earned media as press outlets and social audiences joined in on the gag.

WORLD CUP “PARTY PENALTY” CARDS

As a go-to destination for sports fans, MGM Grand saw the World Cup as the perfect moment to get in the game and the conversation. Inspired by soccer’s iconic red cards, we created Party Penalty Cards: playful callouts for party fouls.

Fans could browse a digital gallery and send custom cards to friends, while MGM shared real-time penalty cards reacting to memorable game moments. To take it even further, physical penalty cards were distributed so fans could call out their crew in real life, too.

The campaign struck a chord with sports fans and partygoers alike, generating over 3 million content impressions, a huge win in earned media and cultural relevance.
